Muriel Stacey, later Muriel Pettibone was the second wife of Clive Pettibone and the step-mother of Izzy, Gordon, Arthur and Morgan Pettibone.

After her time as a teacher at the school of Avonlea, she took over a shop and married the widower Clive Pettibone. In addition, Hetty King was her rival. She also had a car where Janet King and Viola Elliott were drunk once. Izzy Pettibone didn't find her relationship with Clive good, so she contacted her aunt Lillian Hepworth.
