Morgan Pettibone was the son of Clive and Jessica Pettibone, the step-son of Muriel Stacey, the nephew of Lillian Hepworth and the brother of Gordon, Arthur and Izzy Pettibone.
He attended the school of Avonlea when his father was a teacher.
