Morgan Pettibone was the son of Clive and Jessica Pettibone, the step-son of Muriel Stacey, the nephew of Lillian Hepworth and the brother of Gordon, Arthur and Izzy Pettibone.
At one point, his father sent him to military school as a punishment, but the Commandant didn't take kindly to Morgan's gift for art, and he wanted to suspend him for the rest of the school year so he could return in the Fall, but Morgan chose to be expelled instead. He eventually attended art school to become an art teacher.
